We have selected CDs for sale by some of the artists highlighted on the website.

We will increase our range, and include some smaller British labels also.

Recently reissued, the Ralph Gleason's Jazz Casual series are available in DVD format (£13.50ea) or on video (£7.50ea). Originally transmitted in the United States in the 1960s, and made in black and white, each programme lasted 30 minutes and usually interspersed interviews with performance. Artists featured include, among others, Sonny Rollins, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie and Art Pepper.

Ken Burns videos of the TV series Jazz are available at £15.00 each.

Such Sweet Thunder>>BOOK OF THE MONTH Vincent Carter's novel, set in Kansas City of the 1920s and '30s, Such Sweet Thunder was written in the 1960s; he was unable to find a publisher during his lifetime, not least because it did not fit what publishers were looking for in the way of "Negro Literature." Later championed by Richard Wright's widow, this book has at last been published.
