DOUG MUNRO is a critically acclaimed New York jazz guitarist. He has released numerous albums as a leader and has toured the United States and Europe promoting his recordings as well as doing clinics and residencies. Doug has recorded with Lew Soloff, Adam Nussbaum, Bob Berg, Wil Calhoun, Harvie Sqartz, Danny Gottlieb, Willie Lee, and Alex Foster.

Doug is also an award-winning producer, composer and arranger, having worked with the biggest names in jazz, blues and R&B. He has two NAIRD awards for R&B Record of the Year and Best Reggae Album of the Year for his arranging and production work on People Get Ready.

As an educator, Doug created and heads the Jazz Studies programme at the Conservatory of Purchase College. He has an instructional video, Improvisation: Jazz And The Blues.
