Tatum was one of the most technically accomplished jazz musicians ever.
His technical abilities, lightness of touch and control of the full range
of the instrument, have never been topped by any other popular pianist.
He was a piano grand master, whose influence on later jazz musicians -
from Bud Powell and Charlie Parker to Herbie Hancock - was enormous.
