Sidney Bechet StorySidney Bechet was one of the first great improviser's in the history of jazz music. His power and imagination thrilled jazz audiences everywhere during his long career and influenced musicians from Johnny Hodges to John Coltrane. There are 93 tracks in this set, the first being recorded in 1923. Thereafter there are tracks recorded from his time in Europe, and his later years when he became a feted international star.
